Congratulations to the winners today in the Mapperley Ladies Charity Texas Scramble:
A fantastic sum of £925 has been raised for Trent Dementia today.
Thank you to everyone that supported the event including those who provided raffle prizes, to Erica for the money raised from the Easter Egg raffle and of course to the magnificent Mapperley Bakers!
The R&A and the USGA have made updates to the Rules of Golf as they continue to make the Rules easier to understand and apply. This continues the modernisation process, with an emphasis on inclusion and sustainability.
The new Rules came into in effect on 1st January 2023

The R&A Rules app has been updated to reflect the new Rules. It has some useful additions, including the Rule Finder and 24 new short animated videos, as described in this help sheet.
We had a fantastic day's golf on Sunday which was capped off with a trophy presentation event that left many of us with a sore head on Monday!
Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to the runners up.
Thanks to the clubhouse team for a superb evening.

WINTER RULES
Winter Rules will be in place at Mapperley until 30th March 2022.
Unless otherwise stated for a specific competition, Winter Rules include:
- Preferred lies within 6 inches in parts of the General Area cut to fairway height or less.
- Preferred lies within 6 inches in Bunkers (the area may be smoothed before placing)
- Compulsory drop when a ball comes to rest on a tee or temporary green
- The Alternative to Stroke & Distance local rule for a Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds
You can view the full Winter Rules in the locker rooms or by clicking here
ACCEPTABLE SCORES
The submission of scores for handicap purposes at Mapperley is not available with the current Winter Rules in place. The option to submit General Play Scores at Mapperley through the England Golf app, the PSI screen and HowDidiDo MSI will be available from 31st March 2022.
MULTI-TEE ADJUSTMENTS
In mixed tee Stableford competitions during the Winter, no adjustment to Playing Handicaps is required. This is because the Par is 2 greater than the Course Rating, hence 38 points represents playing to handicap from both mens yellow and ladies red tees.
Adjustments to ladies Playing Handicaps in mixed tee Medal competitions, including Texas Scramble Medals, are still applicable because these are based on the difference in the Course Ratings of the two sets of tees.
See Terms of Competition: Appendix N for further details.
Thank you to all who supported the Any Combination Open AM-AM on 2nd October, and in particular, the huge number of visitors who came from far and wide to sample the Mapperley experience!
