Handicaps in Mixed and Multi-tee Competitions

In Mixed and 'Open to All' competitions where play is from more than one set of tees (including Thursday and Sunday singles comps), handicaps are adjusted.

For equity, some players receive additional strokes to reflect the difference in the scores that would be returned when “Playing to Course Handicap”.  At Mapperley this typically results in Men receiving additional strokes in Stablefords and Ladies receiving additional strokes in Medals and Texas Scrambles.

When Ladies play from Red Tees, the adjustments are as follows:

  • Stableford
Men playing from White tees receive 2 extra strokes.
There are no adjustments when Men play from Yellow tees.

  • Medal
Ladies receive extra strokes equal to the difference in Course Ratings.

  • Foursomes
The pair receive 50% of the appropriate stableford or medal adjustment.

  • Greensomes
