Artisans Cup
Individual Stableford open to Men and Ladies. Played on a Sunday to include 6 day members. Prizes in Divisions.
Sunday Mixed Competitions
Men usually play from White tees in Summer and Blue tees in the winter. Ladies play from Red tees. The number of holes may be reduced according to weather and course conditions on the day.
Hemingway Cup
Mixed foursomes medal, draw for partners. Open to Full membership categories only, as defined in Appendix A.
Men and Ladies enter in pairs. Single players may enter on a reserve list and will be paired up before the draw on a first come first served basis.
In the event of a withdrawal after the draw, the first-named will be taken from any names remaining on the reserve list. If there are no players on the reserve list the Committee may arrange an alternative player.
Prizes of glassware for the 1st and 2nd pairs (sourced by the Ladies Section). Subject to having a sufficient number of entrants to cover costs, additional prizes may be awarded.
Ladies play from the Red tees on the odd numbered holes. Men play from the White tees on the even numbered holes. The 10th hole is played as a par 4.
Course Handicaps for all players are calculated using the par of the Red tees (75). Team Handicaps are 50% of combined unrounded Course Handicaps, rounded to a whole number.
Mixed Knockout
Mixed foursomes match play. Open to Full membership categories only, as defined in Appendix A.
Ladies play from the Red distance markers (Tombstones) on the odd numbered holes. Men play from the White distance markers (Tombstones) on the even numbered holes.
Course Handicaps for all players are calculated using the par of the Red tees (75 when the 10th hole is a par 4 or 74 when the 10th is a par 3).
Team Handicaps are the sum of combined rounded Course Handicaps.
Strokes given/taken are 50% of the difference between the Team Handicaps, rounded to a whole number.
Ladies and Seniors
Mixed American Greensome stableford, played over 16 holes using the Women’s pars on the scorecard. Ladies play from Red tees and Men play from Yellow tees. The 10th hole is played as a par 3.
Course Handicaps for all players are calculated using the par of the Red tees (74). Handicap Allowance is (60% lower handicap + 40% higher handicap).
Ladies and Seniors enter separately and are paired up with the aim of having 1 high and 1 low handicap player in each pair.
