Played over two 18 hole medal rounds, usually on Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend. The Trophy is awarded to the lowest aggregate net scores over the 2 rounds. Separate entry fees are required for both rounds. Players play both rounds with their handicap as at the 1st round.
In the event of a tie, the winner is determined by the lowest net score in the 2nd round, then on count-back over the back 9, back 6, back 3 holes of the 2nd round. Individual divisional prizes are awarded for the 1st round. Individual prizes are awarded for 2nd round, all in the same division.
Qualification for the Lamin Cup is through a regular Saturday Medal competition. The lowest gross score and the 31 lowest net scores by eligible players qualify for the knockout stages.
All divisional winners of Saturday, Sunday & Midweek Monthly Medal competitions since the previous year’s Medal Final qualify for the Medal Final, which is usually played on the same day as a regular Monthly Medal. One entry fee covers both the Monthly Medal and the Medal Final.
Three overall prizes are awarded for the Medal Final irrespective of Division and are in addition to any prizes won in the Monthly Medal.
Awarded to the lowest aggregate of the 3 best net scores from 5 designated medal competitions. In the event of a tie, the winner is determined by the lowest of the 3 counting rounds, then the back 9, back 6, back 3, etc. of the lowest counting round.
Awarded to the lowest aggregate gross score over two 18 hole rounds on the same day. In the event of a tie, the winner is determined by the lowest gross score in the 2nd round, then on count-back over the back 9, back 6, back 3, etc. of the 2nd round.
Prizes are also awarded for the best aggregate gross score and the best aggregate net scores in each division. A player that wins a scratch prize will not also win a net prize.
To determine the net score prize winners, players will play the 2nd round with the handicap as at the 1st round of the competition.
