Handicaps in Multi-tee Competitions: valid from 1 April 2024
In competitions where play is from more than one set of tees, the way that Playing Handicaps are calculated in some formats is modified.
"Own ball" formats (Individual and Better-ball):
- Stableford and Par/Bogey:
No adjustments are required - Medal and Match Play:
Players competing from a set of tees with a higher Par receive additional strokes equal to the difference between the Pars
"Shared Ball" formats (Texas Scramble, Foursomes, Greensomes)
- A single tee set must be chosen for scoring purposes (usually the shorter course)
- Course Handicaps for all players are calculated using the Par of the chosen tee set
- No further adjustments are required in the calculation of Playing Handicaps
