Submitting Qualifying Scores prior to the introduction of the WHS

General Club Noticeboard : Submitting Qualifying Scores prior to the introduction of the WHS

World Handicap System (WHS)

The way that handicaps for golfers around the world are calculated has been transformed by a new system developed by the R&A and the USGA. A number of countries round the world started using the new system on 1st January 2020 and it will come into force in Great Britain and Ireland on 2nd November 2020.

Information about how the World Handicap System will affect members at Mapperley Golf Club can be found at World Handicap System: Overview

Submitting Qualifying Scores

Players are encouraged to submit plenty of Qualifying Scores prior to the introduction of the WHS in November. This is to ensure that your WHS 'Transition Handicap' is good reflection of your current playing ability. As well as playing in Qualifying competitions you may submit Supplementary Scores over 9 holes or 18 holes.

Click Supplementary Scores & 9 Hole Scores for more information on how to do this, including how to enter Supplementary Scores into the computer.
