Ladies Winter Eclectic

Appendix M: Ladies Winter Eclectic

Format

The Ladies Winter Eclectic is a medal competition played over a number of rounds through the winter. The winner is determined by adding the lowest scores on each hole over all the rounds.

Winter conditions apply; therefore temporary holes may be played.

Eclectic Dates and Entry

The first round of the Eclectic is the Ladies medal competition closest to start of October. Everyone playing in the medal competition is automatically entered in the Eclectic and has £5 deducted from their Competition Purse (£2.50 medal + £2.50 eclectic) unless they contact the Ladies Treasurer by the Thursday after the medal competition to indicate that they do not wish to enter the eclectic.

Anyone not playing in the medal competition may enter the Eclectic at a later date by notifying the Ladies Treasurer who will deduct £2.50 from the player’s Competition Purse.

The last day for submitting scores is 31st March.

Eclectic Rounds

Scores may be submitted from a maximum of 15 rounds played from the Red Tees. These may be casual rounds or rounds in Ladies Individual (singles) competitions.

A Front 9 holes may be combined with a Back 9 holes played on a different day to count as one round.

Players must indicate their intention to submit an eclectic score by signing and dating their personal page in the ‘Eclectic Book’ before starting the round.

After the round, the hole-by-hole gross scores are to be entered by the player on their personal page. Hole scores that do not improve on a previous score don’t need to be entered.

The scorecard is to be marked “Eclectic” (or “+ Eclectic” if it is a competition round) and posted in the box for verifying of scores by the Handicap Secretary.

Handicaps and Results

The results are determined by adding the lowest scores recorded on each hole over all the rounds. The handicap allowance is 60% of Course Handicap on 31st March.

There are prizes for 1st and 2nd place in both divisions, as well as a salver for the overall lowest net score. Presentation of the salver and prizes takes place at the Spring Meeting.
