Member/Guest Payment Policy
Mapperley members enjoy the benefit of inviting guests to play at a favourable rate. However, members must ensure that guests are prepaid before playing.
Members, prior to playing the course with their guest, must:
- Pay the guest green fee directly in the Pro Shop.
- If playing outside of professional shop opening times you must contact the Pro Shop beforehand to pay the appropriate guest green fee.
- Pay the guest green fee directly at the clubhouse bar in the event of the Pro Shop being closed.
- Any guest who has not paid a green fee is not allowed on the golf course.
Failure to pay the required green fee may result in the imposition of sanctions upon the inviting member.
Full details of how to register for a BRS account and book online can be found on the Member Accounts Help page.
On the Golf Course
Members and visitors should be dressed for golf which includes golf shoes.
Denim jeans or jackets, football/beach shorts, football/rugby tops, vests, etc. are not permitted on the course.
In the Clubhouse
We have a relaxed attitude towards our dress code and request that members and guests dress in smart casual clothes (including smart jeans, T-shirts and trainers).
Clean Golf Shoes are allowed in the Spike Bar area.
We are proud to announce that Mapperley Golf Club is a signatory of the R&A Women in Golf Charter.
Click to view our charter which details our commitment to increase the number of women and girls playing and working in golf.
And click to view a letter from Jeremy Tomlinson, England Golf CEO in which he expresses his delight to read the commitments that we have made as part of our contribution to the delivery of the Women in Golf Charter.
About once a month on a Sunday through the summer months we hold a get-together for new and prospective new lady members.
Typically these start off in the clubhouse where you will get the opportunity to meet some of our lady members and view the facilities available in the clubhouse; the bar, restaurant, locker room, Professional's shop, etc.
After that we will venture outside where you can either join in a friendly 9 hole team competition on the golf course, or if you have not played golf before you can have a go at hitting some balls on our practice range, try some chipping on the practice green and finish up with a session on the putting green.
After that everyone will return to the clubhouse where you will have an opportunity to find out more about membership of the golf club.
The next Meetup is on Sunday 8th October - meet in the clubhouse at 2:00pm.
