Captain's Charity 2017: Hayward House Hospice
Hayward House is a Specialist Palliative Care Unit in the grounds of the City Hospital, part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. It provides high quality holistic care centred on the needs of patients and their families.
Hayward House comprises of a 20 bed In-Patient Unit and a Day Therapy Unit that can take up to 20 patients a day. There is also a Complementary Therapy area providing Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Indian Head and Neck Massage and Hypnosis. They also provide Counselling Services for Patients and their relatives.
The Counselling Services are joint funded with the NHS. The Nursing Posts, Day Therapy Activities and Complementary Therapies are all funded by Charity Donations. CAPTAINS CHARITY DAY, 30 July 2017
l would like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who played, contributed, helped, and brought Auction Items on The Charity Day. The day went better than l could have hoped. That was due to all of you who contributed, by playing , giving auction items, buying auction items and handing over cash in the Halfway House.
There are too many of you to name, but l must thank Gary Brown for the Gallon of Whiskey and the moving story behind the donation, and then Gary auctioned it off for an awesome £210!!!!!!
Finally l must give a personal big thank you to the four people who made the evening a great success - Donation supremo Trevor Smith, the Auction Duo of Jack Preite and Ron 'Rocket' West and the Beauty and Brains of the four, Bev West. Cheers guys.
